BCCI appointed new bowling coach for Team India

The appointment of Bharat Arun means that the BCCI has completely changed their plans against Zaheer Khan.

The Board of Control for Cricket in Insia (BCCI) has appointed former fast bowler Bharat Arun as bowling coach of the Indian cricket team. Bharat Arun is appointed as bowling coach for a two year contract.

Bharat Arun has played two Tests and four ODIs for India. He did his Test debut against Sri Lanka in Kanpur in December 1986. He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka same year. He has 4 wickets in Test and 1 wicket in ODI. Bharat Arun has not played so many matches in international cricket but he has enough experience in first-class cricket. He has 110 wickets at an average of 32.44 in 48 matches.

BCCI has also decided to appoint Sanjay Bangar as Assistant Coach and R Sridhar as Fielding Coach till ODI World Cup 2019. The appointment of Bharat Arun means that the BCCI has completely changed their plans against Zaheer Khan. They had earlier appointed Zaheer Khan as a bowling consultant and later clarified that it was only for foreign tours. There is no clarity about the position of Rahul Dravid’s batting consultant.
